Tiruppur

Tiruppur is a City in the Kongu Nadu region of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu It is the administrative headquarters of Tiruppur district and the fifth largest urban agglomeration and fourth largest city by area in Tamil Nadu. Located on the banks of Noyyal River, It is a major textile and knitwear hub contributing to 90% of total cotton knitwear exports from India. Tiruppur is also known as “Manchester of South India” or ” Banyan City“.

Aikya-Oneness Foundation started in this town in the year 2016. The foundation has done charitable activities in the following institutions.

a. Mahatma Gandhi Karunai Illam: An orphanage housing about 15 children in the age group of 6 to 16 years. Periodical medical support, creating book library and distribution of health and hygiene items for personal care.

b. Municipal Schools: The school caters education of children from economically backward families. Eyes camps were conducted with the support of “Vasan Eye Care” for more than 1500 children.
