Mumbai (formerly called Bombay) is a densely populated city on India’s west coast. A financial center, it’s India’s largest city. On the Mumbai Harbor waterfront stands the iconic Gateway of India stone arch, built by the British Raj in 1924. The city’s also famous as the heart of the Bollywood film industry.
We conducted activities in the following institutions.
- Prem Daan – Mother Teresa Foundation. It houses around 135 people in the age group of 18 years to 90 years who are all mentally and physically challenged. Met the administrator to spend time with the children. Agreed to allow our volunteers to do so for about 1 hour any day.
- MBA Foundation – It takes care of 100 physically challenged people from 18 to 60 years of age incl residents and nonresidents. They provide vocational training and other training for their well being. Aikya conducted a motivational program followed by meditation in the month of June 2018 for more than 50 people, which includes teachers and caretakers.
