Life Deserves a Second Chance……by Ram

Life Deserves a Second Chance…….

It was a cold morning, everything outside was covered with fog. Got up from the bed with usual rituals of paying gratitude to God and meditation. A spark of thoughts arose, when I saw a video shared. It was a lecture by an eminent speaker on management. During the course of the lecture, he mentioned about Life Deserves a Second Chance when he had experienced a heart breaking situation. Those words caught my attention as it had something powerful to convey towards my life. Looked deep within to reconfirm and the voice in me echoed “Yes, the life deserves a second chance”.

Many experiences as we go through in our life teaches us a lot, whether those experience are sweet or soar. Learning from those, we keep moving. But, sometimes we get bogged down in regrets. We tend to carry those lifelong telling ourselves that we are destined to live with that.

What if” is one of the syndrome that we all pass through in our life. All missed opportunities and life events what we thought good for us put through this. Some gives a greater sense of pride and many into regrets. I am here talking about those in the latter category, which puts us into regrets and sadness. What if I was born in an affluent family, what if I had studied in a good school, what if I had availed that opportunity, what if I had not met that person in my life, what if that situation has not happened and so on. So many What If’s, which we always feel that would have changed our life.

We continue to live with those regrets all through. Whenever, we get involved in any casual conversation with people, this point of regret comes up atleast for once. Some of these regrets are so deep embedded in our subconscious mind, that always keeps us in low esteem and sadness. A personal judgement comes up every time comparing with others whom we feel are better off. That keeps us down in our own eyes. This happens everywhere, while travelling or in a job or at home. Least realizing that the other person is travelling with his own baggage of what if’s.

Frequent thought of What if causes a syndrome, which can suck our energies negatively. We will tend to live in darkness all through. Then, how do I correct myself. It is well known among spiritual seekers that “what has happened or happening is the best for me. Nothing better would be good. The timing of those events are absolutely right”. As we do little introspection on each of what ifs, we would realize that those has happened for our betterment to be wherever/whatever one is, when connected with goodness or those which has put us in regrets. In contrary, what happens if all of those you desired had happened and life is still not comfortable. Every missed life events or situations have only lead you to the path, that you are required to travel. That should be deemed as the right path.

That takes me to my opening statement “Life Deserves a Second Chance”. It does. The choice is in our hands to take that second chance to live it fully and change ourselves, or live a life of regrets adding more “What if’s” into our baskets. Let us not become the causalities of our own thoughts. No one will be able to recover us from it. Even, God will find it difficult to help. For sure, a self-destruction is imminent, if we continue.

Drop all regrets and sadness of our life behind. It easier said by me. But, one has to work hard to get over with the understanding that the darkness fades away with the light coming in. Let us keep ourselves illuminated with sense of awareness, goodness and positive people around. Greatest men are those who stood up even after multiple falls, as they always believed that they deserve another chance to live life better. Certainly, Life deserves a Second Chance.
