It was drizzling and the breeze was cold on the lake side. I was sitting in my vehicle and looking at the drops sprinkling over the lake and creating beautiful ripple effect by each drop, lovely, while witnessing the beauty of the nature. I went into introspective the me.
Whatever we have received is, who found all this? the happiness, sorrow, joy, anger, loss, hardship, isn’t it that, sorrow find sorrow, happiness find happiness and anger find anger. We generally point others for our setbacks and fall, why? because we feel comfortable and content not blaming ourselves rather, we should accept our mistakes and learn from them, stand-up and keep moving, this will not only lessen our pain from the fall but also provides us with vital source of energy to reach our destination.
The drizzle started to take form of rain and the ripples became larger. Isn’t our mind same like lake, when silence is its peace but when drop of thoughts start to sprinkle, the turmoil starts. Sometime we should sit on the banks of mind and witness the creation to find answers.
We make ourselves weak when we face setback due to our own chaos or mistakes but, we always love to show ourselves as that poor thing where we love to hear that it was not our mistake but of the others we are good. Within we know, what we have done and who we are!! whether we do good or bad, but for a while we should introspect ourselves, understand the consequences of our thoughts backed by actions. Once we learn to understand our thoughts, we will be more at peace.
We chose good or bad, happiness or sorrow, it was never like this in the start. We find what we want to find it, we had setbacks or falls, but was it same since the beginning? no!!! if we explore, we find that beginning of the episode has the end. No one is so powerful enough to influence us, until we open the door and want to be influenced or fall. We are chasing with open arms and doors to seek happiness and in this chase we sometime blindly want to fall in that pit of thoughts and blame others for the fall.
Whatever we lose, we gain, it is our onus, it is our responsibility, same like the lake, inspite of heavy showers,it accept them and again be at peace, moving on its way,and it was time for me also to move, as rain was now heavy, and visibility was less. As I drove back to my temporary destination, a shloka from Bhagwad Gita crossed my mind, “Asamyatatmana yogo dushprapa iti me matih, vasyatmana tu yatata sakyo vaptum upayatah” means for one whose mind is unbridled, self-realization is difficult work, but for those whose mind is controlled and who strives by appropriate means is assured of success and finding peace.
Have a peaceful days ahead and take care of loved ones.
